Utah’s Cathedral. Your Home.

Since 1909, as the spectacular mother church of the Diocese of Salt Lake City, the Cathedral of the Madeleine’s mission has been to bring all of Utah the world’s greatest treasure: the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ and the Faith, Hope, and Love that flow from Him. Now, today, that mission is more important than ever, and we are so grateful you are a part of it. September 4th , join community leaders, friends, and the Catholic faithful of Utah for an inspiring evening at the 2026 Bishop’s Dinner. Celebrate our beloved church, ensure its future, and further its mission for generations to come. Most of all, welcome home all to Utah’s Cathedral, for the salvation of souls, and the Greater Glory of God!

A Night To Remember This year we are honored to welcome The Most Reverend Gregory W. Gordon, STL, the first Auxiliary Bishop of Las Vegas to join us as our guest speaker.

Serving the rapidly growing Church of the American West, the Most Reverend Gregory W. Gordon, STL, brings a powerful perspective on the unique challenges and opportunities of building a shared sense of faith, mission, and belonging across vast and diverse communities. Bishop Gordon is the first Auxiliary Bishop of Las Vegas and has served the Church for nearly four decades, including seven years at the Apostolic Nunciature in Washington, D.C., the Holy See's diplomatic mission to the United States. Today, he serves as Vicar General and Moderator of the Curia for the Archdiocese of Las Vegas.
